Dēssa Pronounced “Deessa” in Catalan, it means “goddess”. The name of this brand was conceived thanks to the work and reflection of the creator/designer during her studies. Through this, she aims to tell a story and defend a cause, which is none other than women's rights. Born and raised in her native Madagascar, and later attending high school in France, she noticed that French women enjoyed more rights than Malagasy women. Despite Madagascar's slow modernization, Malagasy traditions, customs and values still persist, restricting the rights of Malagasy women.
To sum up, Dēssa is a ready-to-wear brand that aims to empower women in the face of societal norms. This is the beginning of an adventure for the brand, which seeks to empower women, to help them take charge of their lives through clothing and to undertake future projects.
